Summer opportunities

Caltech students interested in participating in Team Caltech activities over the summer can participate in two ways:

  • 2007 DGC SURF - a limited number of SURF projects are available for the summer. Pre-applications for the SURF project are due on 26 Jan 07. See the 2007 DGC SURF page for more information.
  • Additional participants - in addition to the SURF project, a set of paid "engineering" positions will be available to Caltech undergraduates. Additional information on these positions will be posted in March.

Note: Due to the nature of the DGC competition, strong priority will be placed on students who have substantial experience in the technologies required for autonomous systems. In particular, students interested in pursuing a SURF project should have substantial background in robotics, control or sensing technologies relevant to the Grand Challenge. Previous participation in Team Caltech or similar projects is highly recommended.
